ATCO Executives

Summary of ATCO Structure

  • ATCO Executives focus of different topic areas and look after ATCO’s workload and involvement in the coordination of public transport in the UK.
  • ATCO Regions are represented on these Executives and may meet to discuss regional issues and exchange best practice.
  • the ATCO Board provides support to the Executives and Regions to ensure that their activities benefit ATCO members as they coordinate public transport.

Getting Involved

Check if there is an Executive specialising in aspects of transport that are your particular interest.   Executives publish papers or responses to consultations from time to time.  We aim to list these on this website and make their publications more accessible to ATCO members.

The Executives generally meet several times a year and involve representatives from each region.  To get involved you should normally contact your regional representative first and get their support to be a regional representative and also arrange for you to feedback to the region.

The Executives evolve to respond to new issues.   The Total Transport Executive is the newest one.  It is leading ATCOs work on the Government Total Transport initiative.
